Communications & SMS Policy
How the clinics that use Kindra communicate with their clients, and how you control the messages you receive.
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Kindra is client and practice software used by wellness and thermography clinics to manage appointments and stay in touch with their clients. When you are a client of a clinic that uses Kindra, that clinic may send you reminders and related messages by text message (SMS), email, and physical mail. This page explains those messages and how you can opt in or opt out at any time.
Who sends these messages
Messages are sent by the individual clinic you are a client of. Kindra provides the software the clinic uses to send them. Kindra is a product of EdgePoint Strategy.
What kinds of messages you may receive
- Appointment reminders for upcoming visits.
- Follow-up reminders when you are due to schedule your next visit.
- Pre-visit paperwork links so you can complete intake forms before an appointment.
- Follow-up surveys asking about your visit.
- Occasional service updates from your clinic.
These are service and appointment related messages tied to your relationship with the clinic. Clinics do not use Kindra to sell your information or send unrelated marketing.
How you opt in
You opt in to text and email communications when you provide your mobile number or email address to your clinic and agree to be contacted, for example when you book an appointment, complete intake paperwork, or ask the clinic to remind you. Providing your number for text messages is not a condition of receiving any service.
Some clinics send an intake or follow-up form with a checkbox where you can confirm you want reminders, or give you a private portal link where you can turn text and email reminders on or off yourself at any time.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your appointments. Most clients receive only a few messages around each visit, such as a reminder before an appointment and a follow-up afterward.
How to opt out
Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving text messages. Reply HELP for help. After you reply STOP, you will not receive further texts from that clinic unless you opt in again.
Email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any reminder email, turn email reminders off in your clinic portal if you have one, or ask your clinic to remove your email.
Mail and anything else: contact your clinic directly and ask to change how they reach you.
Costs
Kindra and the clinic do not charge you for these messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Privacy
Messages may include limited details about your appointment, such as the date, time, service, and clinic location. Your contact information and appointment details are used to communicate with you about your care and are not sold or shared for unrelated marketing. Mobile opt-in and consent information is never shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail. Your clinic is responsible for how it handles your personal and health information; contact your clinic for its privacy practices.
